As a novel aerogel material, MXene aerogels have garnered significant attention in materials science due to their unique structure and exceptional properties. This paper briefly describes the fundamental characteristics and limitations of traditional aerogels, elucidates the research background and significance of MXene, and introduces fabrication methods for MXene aerogels including sol-gel and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques. The study elaborates on the structural characteristics and physicochemical properties of MXene aerogels, explores their application domains in energy storage, electromagnetic shielding, and environmental remediation, and proposes future prospects for MXene-based materials development. This systematic review provides theoretical guidance and technical references for advancing the research and practical implementation of MXene aerogel materials.
