Abstract

The Bench Dragon is a traditional folk activity from southeastern Zhejiang and Fujian, originating from the Han Dynasty's "dragon dance for rain" ritual. It holds significant cultural value and visual appeal, with performers linking dozens or hundreds of benches into a sinuous dragon shape that requires precise coordination of movement paths and speeds to avoid collisions. This article integrates numerical integration methods with kinematic modeling constraint optimization to construct a mathematical model of the Bench Dragon's performance. Through the Newton-Raphson method and global search, the calculation accuracy and efficiency are improved, and collision detection is carried out to prevent performance accidents. The research results provide scientific support for the highly difficult performances of the bench dragon and are conducive to the inheritance of traditional culture and the improvement of the viewing experience.
