The 'bench dragon' is a traditional local folk cultural activity in the Zhejiang Fujian region. The purpose of this article is to determine the time when the dragon dance team cannot continue to reel in along a specific spiral, and to solve for the position and speed of the dragon dance team at this time. At present, no scholars have conducted reliable research on this. We first need to establish a kinematic equation based on the spiral parameter equation to calculate the position coordinates of each handle at each moment. Then, we need to establish a dynamic collision detection model based on vector method and determine the collision conditions. Using this model, we can determine the specific time of collision and obtain the position coordinates and velocity of each handle of the dragon dance team at this time. The final calculation shows that the dragon head collided approximately at the fourth circle from the inside out, with a collision time of 413 seconds. This model effectively solves this problem and fills the gap in related research.
