The sex ratio of lampreys changes with the external environment, thus affecting the ecosystem. This paper focuses on the environmental dependence of the adaptive sex ratio change and its advantages and disadvantages that adaptive and variable sex ratio bring to the lamprey population. First, an improved Lotka-Volterra equations were established and solved to simulate the effects of sex ratio changes on the lamprey population itself. Then, a TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation model was established to score the three indicators of stability, adaptability, and ecological roles, and evaluate this adaptive change for the lamprey population by comparing the evaluation plots under different sex ratios. It was mainly concluded that the population of the lamprey decreases in the presence of elevated male ratios, with fewer of its predators, fewer of its food resources, and more of its competitors.
